Recently, at the usual "Working Mans" fishing tournament held on Tuesday Evenings on Eagle Mountain Lake one of the fishermen working Lakeview Marina spotted a giant fish on his live scope (see the graph photo, it's in 10 feet of water, hiding under a boat dock). He cast a crank bait and as his pole bent over he set the hook. It broke off almost immediately. He tied on another crank bait...and again was broken off. He was in awe thinking that a fish could break him off several times.
Finally, in desperation he decide to use a large steel chain (well over 10,000 pound test) with a cast iron hook. Success! He was able to bring in this monster Toyota Bass. He was in total shock. He had read many advertisements about the upcoming Toyota Bass---Masters Tournament on Lake Ray Roberts with the weigh-in in Fort Worth's Dickies Arena....but he did not know that Eagle Mountain Lake, Fort Worth, Texas also was stocked with the elusive TOYOTA BASS.
This is the first known Toyota Bass to be caught in Eagle Mountain Lake. However, it is believed that the Chevrolet Suburban Bass that was reeled in a few years ago weighed more.
Remember March 21-23...2025 is the Toyota Bass---Masters Tournament with a $1 Millon dollar purse. Fishing is on Lake Ray Roberts. The weigh-in is a at Dickies Arena and the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo is being held at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
In the meantime, please drop by Lakeview Boating Center on beautiful Eagle Mountain Lake and come test drive a 2025 FALCON BASS BOAT powered by a Mercury Pro XS 250HP engine. The performance of a Falcon Bass Boat coupled with its large fishing decks make it the perfect bass fishing boat for a professional or avid fisherman. So come out today and get your new boat and maybe you can become a professional angler and one day earn a place at the Bass Master Classic. And, if you fish enough around boat ramps you too might be able to catch one of those elusive Toyota, Chevrolet, GMC or Ford BASS.
